The Design + Build methodology offers the client a streamlined approach to remodeling and construction. It creates a single source for communication, collaboration, and project management between the client & trade. We are hands on throughout all phases of the project to ensure our clients are receiving a high level of service & communication. It all starts with a phone call =) We look forward to hearing about your project, your timeline, and your budget.
Consultation.
We will schedule a 30-60 minute complimentary meeting at your house to introduce ourselves, meet you, see your space, and discuss your project vision. At this meeting, we will give you an estimated cost range based on your project objectives. If you are ready to proceed to the next step with us, we will schedule a follow up site meeting to take measurements, photographs, and discuss design fees for plans and development.
Site Meeting.
We will take extensive measurements and photographs of your space and discuss in further detail your needs, objectives, and design preferences. We will collect a design retainer at this meeting and then get to work to create preliminary design concepts to present to you.
Design & Development.
We will meet to review preliminary designs and budget that will layout the proposed scope of work and associated fees for your project. If you accept the proposal, we will proceed to develop drawings, specifications, and guide you through the selection of materials & finishes. During this phase, we will schedule accordingly to meet with our partnered trades at your home to review existing site conditions and review project goals.
Contract.
This meeting is a culmination of all the decision making process with a review of finalized drawings and contract specifications. The contract documents outline finish materials selections, scope of labor, and an itemization of costs, fees, and fee schedule. We will also discuss the logistics of the construction process, reviewing timelines, and on-site preparations.
Project Construction.
We order all materials, obtain permits, finalize, and coordinate the project schedule with our trade partners. Throughout the construction state, we consult closely with you enabling us to cohesively manage the labor, details and/or modifications to the design or material selection. It’s an exciting process to watch the design come to life!
